Comments: I was 77 years old at the first visit. He carefully explained the limits of my age and recommended I try PT first. I did 3 months of PT and got great results but still had limitations that affected day to day routines. On follow-up I was prepared to 'live with these' if he recommended no surgery. He said he thought he could make it better, so went with the surgery. Not a fun experience but I can say I am a 78-year-old success story! Fully restored shoulder function. Not only had a capable surgeon but an excellent physical therapist. Dr. Paxton is not 'warm and fuzzy' but explains pros and cons thoroughly, honestly tells you what to expect, and gives you the options. Also had a wonderful experience with his PA, Robert Wicklund.
